Announcing Mater Dei's New Head Football Coach - Raul Lara

Mater Dei High School is pleased to announce the appointment of Raul Lara as the new Head Football Coach, effective immediately. Coach Lara brings over three decades of coaching expertise, consistently demonstrating his ability to enhance athletic performance and personal growth among his players. His professional tenure as a Dean and Deputy Probation Officer in Los Angeles County also underscores his commitment to nurturing young individuals in educational and community settings. Congratulations to the Monarch Baseball Team for winning the 2024 Southern California Boras Classic!

The Monarchs will now travel to Santa Clara to take on the Northern California Champions: Granite Bay on Saturday, April 20 at 12 noon @ Santa Clara University. This year, we're teaming up with Exer Urgent Care to make it super convenient for you. With 55+ locations across SoCal, you can pick a time and place that suits you between May 20 – August 31, 2024. $40 per athlete, and it's valid for a full year. Plus, your support directly benefits MD’s Sports Medicine Program which provides critical safety and health for all student athletes.
